I started working with the idea in 2018, using Australian natives to explore these as a metaphor to explore the moment of transition. It took until 2020 and the changes that year brought to continue working on these and produce two larger works for the show Adaptation, in Canberra.

Like painting life can be unpredictable and full of challenges. These challenges will lead to unexpected moments and can create freedom in an unexpected and unscripted responsiveness.
